Publisher's summary

New adventures in the Infinite Realm!

Zach and Ryun had both reached the Infinite Realm. As the only two survivors of the old Earth, they are the strongest Rankers that had ever arrived in the Infinite Realm. Both dropped outside of the usual arrival zone and left to fend for themselves. Each had found a way to survive. Ryun is now a Sect Head, tasked with ruling territories and people. Accepting their service in return for his protection. But while he was the strongest being on Earth, he is nothing compared to the old monsters living in the Infinite Realm. Will he be able to advance far and fast enough to catch up and protect the things and a few people that he had started to care for?

Zach had joined the Wardens, a faction that serves as a law enforcement for hire, seeing in them his best chance at learning more about the Infinite Realm and figuring out the best way to proceed. And perhaps eventually to find the monster that had taken everything from him.

Stats

nice book but I'm my god do they like to read the whole stat run down way too often. I swear that sometimes it went on for 5 minutes.

Great book

I very much enjoyed this book. Don’t listen to the the bad reviews, this book is pretty Zach centric but there is still plenty of Riune and the Zach chapters are still worth listening too.

A fun take

I really enjoy this series. The co protagonist Zach and his story can be a bit annoying at tines but still interesting.

Love this series!

I’m seeing a lot of people annoyed that the ‘MC’ changed to Zach, but this series has never really had a main character. Yes, we got a lot of Zach and Ryun, but they're just two large parts to a larger story. Whoever wrote the "cultivation enthusiasts like one MC" should know that it gets really really old reading the same recycled Earth MC just power levels to challenge the system with their humanity or something. This series is so much more. You get the propaganda from one perspective of history and a tiny glimpse of the truth. Then you later get a different perspective with another glimmer of truth. It really feels like you’re experiencing the world while slowly gaining more understanding of this Infinite Realm. The book has a way of convincing you one way then flipping that on its head when we have a different character perspective. Fantastic world building, but I can see how some may think this as slow progression. My one complaint for the audiobook format would be the going over the same characters ‘screens’ often enough that you already know them but need to skip 5m through screens you’ve heard 5 times now.

Update: I finished the third book and caught up to Ivan Kal's Patreon progress. This is definitely one of the 3 series that I will be reading every chapter the authors release to their patreon. Can't get enough of this story!

Please no more whinny Zack

Crying about his vengeance while doing what he claims he hates. Zach has become more and more hypocritical as the series goes on. It’s getting hard to listen too. On the other hand give me more of Ryun!!! I’d jump for joy at this point of a book series with just Ryun building and growing in power

Anyone else not caring for Zach?

love the story but not Zach. in this story's scenario being a high and mighty protector is useless if those who you protect have no ambition to improve themselves.

Alot of Zach

I really like the first book, but struggled with this one.
it's not bad, I just really don't like Zach and I can't bring myself to care what happens to him, which is a shame sins 70% of this book is Zach...
Also there is way to many unnecessary 5min ++ character sheet readouts.

if you are like me you'll enjoy about 30% of this book. Again I'm not saying the rest is bad, just not for me.

Great series with multiple viewpoints

Book 2 is greater insight into the other protagonist and while I do enjoy Ryun more then Zach personally it was interesting to see how Zach progressed. I recommend series but Ryun is my favorite so look forward to see next one
