    By now you know that getting enough sleep is one of the fundamental keys to overall health and well-being. But, achieving optimal shuteye and truly winding down at night are skills that few seem to have mastered.

    Aaptiv’s Sleep Better program includes seven classes led by meditation and mindfulness expert Jade Alexis. On day one of the program you’ll begin with ten minutes of relaxation and focus on your breath. As the week progresses you’ll graduate to a 30-minute session and incorporate techniques that train your body to release tension and prepare for deep sleep including breathwork, body scans, and yoga nidra - a type of meditative state achieved before sleep.

    This program is designed to be taken as many times through as you wish and can be referred back to as often as you need.

surprisingly good

I didn't think her voice was chill enough to put me to sleep but she surprised me and knocked me out

It works.

I think I made it about halfway through. then it was lights out! so I guess it did the trick.

Helps Me Sleep Soundly

Speedy Jade gets the job done at .75x speed

My entire family benefited from this. My 10 year old typically needs melatonin to get to sleep in less than an hour. The first day he needed 2 sessions. The 2nd day, most of 1 session, and thereafter about 5-10 minutes.

That said, we had to listen at .75x speed. Ms. Jade goes at a speed and pitch you’d expect as part of a light stretch and meditation at the end of a group workout...not a speed/pitch conducive to sleep. It was off-putting at first until we figured out that we could slow her down.

can't seem to listen to it all

just keep falling asleep every night. must be a good program since I can't get to the end

Not as calming as others I've listened to

It would've been nicer if the performer could be calmer and softer when she spoke.
If its a sleep app and someone has fallen asleep, I dont think its necessary to remind the listener who you are and say goodbye... as it just wakes the listener up. The ending could just gradually fade out. other than that its OK.

Sleep Better is awesome

I love this! I've easily fallen asleep listening which is perfect! I highly recommend this for people who have difficulty falling asleep.

Wish there were more...

I have used these short pre-slumber meditations every night for at least two months. The background music/sounds and the narration really work well together. Only issue is that the narrator stumbles on her words in some of them, and in one meditation switches from "left leg" to the focus actually on the right leg (which bothers me something fierce!!) Also, imagining sheep jumping over a fence is ridiculous. Just stick to the breath and body!
