A New York Times pick for "Best Audiobooks for Road Trips with Kids"

A New York Post featured book selection

Romper's top choice for "Best Audiobooks for the Whole Family"

This hilarious, heartfelt, and soaring adventure will delight fans of The Goonies and Indiana Jones. Performed as a 1930s radio drama, it’s bursting with humor for all ages, orchestral scoring, and some of the most talented voices on Broadway.

When their ace pilot parents (and adorable puppy) mysteriously disappear over the Pacific, the Flamingo Sisters - Flo, Faye, and Franny - escape the clutches of their evil Uncle Freidrich (who believes girls should never pilot aeroplanes) and join a flying circus. They soon become a smashing sensation, performing aerial acrobatics, wing walking, and other death-defying feats in a dazzling biplane outfitted with three cockpits.

But when the girls discover a mysterious map - which may lead them to the long-lost Flamingo family fortune - their dastardly uncle follows them on a thrilling chase in the skies. The Flying Flamingo Sisters must use wits, courage and derring - do to solve secret codes, trek through spooky jungles, and save their parents. Not to mention themselves!

Fun for all ages!

This was one of my free selections offered monthly by Audible Originals. My eight year old son and I both loved it! It has an old fashioned sound to it, reminiscent of the radio programs from the ‘30s and ‘40s. I hope to see more in this series or from this production team.

Fun Family Frolic

Great book for all ages. Young ladies can identify with the heroines ages 9-16. Older generations will enjoy the throwback style of edge-of-your-seat radio programs. Enjoy!

Spectacular!

A surprise gem! I loved the old time radio program style of the audio book. It was fast paced fun. My young daughter was enthralled. I listened along with her and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Hope for more audio book from this talented author and cast.

A great story for the entire family. The Flying Flamingo Sisters kept the interest of the entire family with fun, humor and plenty of lessons along the way. My kids can't wait for the next installment.

Very Good

I really enjoyed this book. The word use was fun and the voice actors did an excellent job reading it. Character development was great for such a small book and while the story was complete, it left you hanging on a cliff longing to get the next book in the series.

HUGE HIT with our 4yo son and us parents, too!

I am not exaggerating when I say my 4yo has asked to listen to The Flying Flamingo Sisters every. single. day. since we first listened to it. The whole 2 hours. Every day. We are on week 2 of this. We start it in the car on the way home from preschool and leave it going when we get home. Such a great alternative to demands of screentime of various types!

And seriously, he's obsessed. He mentioned it to his preschool teacher incl "feats of derring-do". If you ask him which is his favorite sister, he says "ALL OF THEM!" enthusiastically. He's learned to spell Flo using our refrigerator magnet letters and is working on Faye and Franny. He asked dad if he could be a wing walker and told me that he was going to do barrel rolls onto the yoga mat (don't worry, no children were harmed in the process of writing this review). Totally obsessed fan over here!

From the adults in the household, we adore the voice performance of all the characters (Uncle Frederic is a particular favorite, though Franny's sighs always make me giggle). And the sound design is spectacular (both special effects sounds and the musical touches - especially for the pad of flamingos!). Great modern take on an old school radio play - super engaging and fun. We have our fingers crossed for a second story after hearing the opening left at the resolution of this first one!
